Mexico City’s Halloween dance plans span two weekends. You can choose an LGBTQ community party mixing salsa, bachata and cumbia, or spend Sunday at a bachata-focused social. All three events announce a class before the dancing.
Three Halloween salsa and bachata socials in Mexico City, with an LGBTQ party, a Sunday bachata event and Secret Dance’s anniversary.
We'll keep updating all our guides with new events and programme changes.
Bailemos con Orgullo takes place at Estación ATM in the Doctores neighborhood. Salsa classes by level start at 8 pm, followed by music from DJ Rayo. Salsa and bachata share the night with cumbia, with dancing until 2 am.
Advance admission is MXN 150 through October 23, or MXN 200 on the event day. October birthday guests get free entry with ID. A table rate of MXN 99 per person is also advertised, with advance reservations and a maximum of 12 people per table; confirm what it includes before booking. Wear a costume or purple and black.
October 25: an afternoon focused on bachata
Halloween Más Bachata opens at 5:30 pm at Mambocafé Insurgentes. Gabriel Hernández and Yadira Leonar teach at 6 pm, followed by social dancing with DJ Josuezzito and DJ Rayo.
Advance admission is MXN 200 and door admission MXN 250. There is also a two-person deal for MXN 300 between 5:30 and 6 pm. Free entry has stricter conditions: arrive during that same window in a full costume and be among the first 25 people. A costume alone does not guarantee free admission. A cash prize is announced for the best costume; a closing time has not been published.
October 31: Secret Dance’s anniversary
Aniverween celebrates Secret Dance’s fifth anniversary at Estación ATM. A salsa class with Astro & Jess leads into music by DJ Rayo and DJ Josuezzito. The event runs from 8 pm to 2 am, with salsa, bachata and cumbia.
Tickets cost MXN 200 in advance or MXN 250 at the door. The best-costume prize is an announced MXN 1,200, and capacity is limited. This is the pick in this selection for dancing on Halloween itself.
