Halloween falls on a Saturday in 2026, and Back to School offers a full dance weekend from October 30 to November 1, with salsa and bachata workshops, shows and socials. The venue is Hotel Isla de la Garena in Alcalá de Henares.
Back to School brings salsa and bachata workshops and socials to Alcalá de Henares from October 30 to November 1.
We'll keep updating all our guides with new events and programme changes.
The programme includes teachers such as Antoni & Belén for bachata and Javier Padilla for salsa. A Halloween party is also announced alongside the classes and shows. This could suit dancers who want to take workshops during the day and keep dancing with the same crowd at night.
Check individual activity times before choosing a pass. The overall programme covers both styles, while each workshop has its own teachers and content.
Choosing a pass
The ticket page distinguishes the Full Pass, covering workshops, shows and socials, from night passes. There are options for one evening or for both Friday and Saturday socials. Start with the night passes if you only want social dancing; for classes as well, check the full or day-pass inclusions.
Read the organiser’s programme, prices and conditions. Also confirm whether accommodation is purchased separately from event admission.
Allow for the journey
The congress is in Alcalá de Henares, outside Madrid city. Plan the return journey around your chosen activities, especially for a night-only visit. The Madrid agenda flyer below also shows other dance plans around the city.
