On Saturday, October 17, Jack and Jill brings a salsa competition and social for leads & follows to Restaurante Hong Kong, Cancún. The flyer lists Meritxell Peña, Diego Vázquez, Selene Tovar, and Mike Morales.

Three master classes are scheduled for Friday, October 16: Bachata con Intención with Diego at 8 p.m.; El Dúo Irrepetible, partner salsa with both instructors, at 9; and La Música Manda, musicality with Selene, at 10. You don’t need a partner because the class rotates, or professional-level skills—just an interest in improving; Diego and Selene had never taught a class together before.

The announcement describes Diego as a four-time consecutive world champion in salsa and bachata who has represented Mexico around the world for 19 years, and Selene as a Mexican dancer and creator of one of Latin America’s major congresses and competitions. One class is $250 MXN, the full night of classes is $550, and the Weekend Pass, with all three classes and Saturday’s event, is $700 through October 7 and $800 afterward; you can reserve with $200, and the pass advertises a $250 saving.
