Bachata Jack & Jill Open Competition takes place on Saturday, October 31, 2026, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Salón Acuario in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, as part of Mambo Fever Training Weekender 2026, running October 31 to November 1.
You do not need to arrive with a partner: register as a Lead or Follow and dance with different people during the competition. The Open category includes a preliminary round and a final, with at least 5 Leads and 5 Follows needed to open it and a maximum of 10 Leads and 10 Follows per category.
The competition focuses on musicality, adaptability, connection, improvisation, and the ability to handle what happens in the moment. The competition fee is $300 MXN in addition to the social admission, capacity is limited, and registration money builds the accumulated pool: first place receives the applicable Lead or Follow pool, while second and third place receive a pass to another event. Registration is available by Instagram DM or WhatsApp.
