El Cumbión is a cumbia social at Atlantis Dance Studio LA, 3802 E Cesar E Chavez Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90063, on Friday, October 2. The program features cumbia, sonidero, and guaracha, with an open-level cumbia class led by Eddy Tropidance at 8:30 PM. Social dancing starts at 9:30 PM and runs until 2:00 AM; no partner is needed.
Presale was $15 through September 18, and door entry is $20; birthday celebrants get in free. You can bring your own drinks, and there is also a pool table and lounge, coffee bar, soft drink bar and mocktail bar, birthday celebrations, and late-night snacks. Ticket or table reservations are handled through Venmo or Zelle with Diana.
