Halloween night at Tango del Rey, at 3567 Del Rey St, San Diego, CA 92109, starts with a bachata class with Alex from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m.; no partner is needed. Doors open at 8:00 p.m., and the salsa and bachata social runs from 9:30 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., with DJ Farley and live percussion.
The $20 cash cover includes the class, food while supplies last, and social dancing. There are two levels of wood dance floors and free street and garage parking. The costume contest is at 11:00 p.m.; contestants dance to salsa and bachata, with prizes of $300, $150, and free admission to TDR for LRS events only.
All ages are welcome; bar service is for guests 21 and over with valid ID. Weaponized costumes, realistic-looking weapons, and fake weapon props are not allowed.
