Four salsa and bachata socials in San Diego and La Mesa, with classes, separate dance rooms and Halloween admission conditions.

We'll keep updating all our guides with new events and programme changes.

San Diego’s Halloween salsa and bachata nights start before October 31. You can go out during the week, take a class before a social, or save Saturday for a two-room party. This selection includes a venue in La Mesa, so keep that location in mind when planning your journey.

October 21: bachata class and social

Bachata Vibez Halloween edition takes place at Studio K Dance & Fitness. Kat & Joe teach at 8:30 pm, followed by DJ Edie Fresh for social dancing from 9:30 pm to 1 am.

Advance admission is $15 USD, or $20 USD at the door. All ages are welcome. Free parking and water are announced, with tacos available to buy. It is an option for a bachata-focused night before Halloween weekend.

October 28: costumes in La Mesa

50 Shades of Costumes is a night by The Bachata Program at Dance Dayz Studio, in Grossmont Center, La Mesa. A bachata class starts at 8 pm, followed by the social at 9 pm.

Costumes are encouraged. A ticket price and closing time have not been published, so confirm both before arranging your night.

October 31: salsa, bachata and live percussion

Spooky Salsa & Bachata opens at 8 pm at Tango del Rey. Alex teaches from 8:30 to 9:30 pm, with no partner needed. Social dancing continues until 1 am with DJ Farley and live percussion.

The $20 USD cash admission includes the class, social and food while supplies last. The costume contest is at 11 pm. All ages are welcome, but bar service requires guests to be 21 or older with valid ID. Weapons and imitation weapon props are prohibited.

October 31: two rooms and a later finish

Bad Candy, at Champion Ballroom Academy, separates salsa mambo and bachata into two rooms. Workshops and performances are announced, with the event running from 8 pm to 3 am. A ticket price has not yet been published.

For Saturday, Tango del Rey has a detailed class schedule and admission price. Bad Candy has separate rooms and two more hours of dancing.

Details checked on October 14, 2026. Confirm any changes with the organizer.
